On July 24, 2023, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Newark Police responded to reports of gunfire on the 300 block of Clinton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds: Victor Robert, 28, from East Orange; a 24-year-old woman; and a 6-year-old child. All three victims were transported to University Hospital, where Victor Robert was pronounced dead at 10:41 p.m.
