In the summer of 2014, a violent altercation in Newark, New Jersey, tragically cut short the life of 32-year-old Joey Reyes. On the morning of July 19th, an argument escalated to the point of gunfire, and Reyes was fatally shot. The incident took place in the city's North Ward, leaving a community shaken and a family grieving an unexpected loss. He was a male of unknown ethnicity.
