In the early morning hours of a mid-September day in Newark, New Jersey, the life of Travis Swepson, a 25-year-old male, was cut short. On September 16, 2016, Swepson was discovered in the driver's seat of a car that had crashed. The vehicle had come to a stop at the intersection of 14th Avenue and South 6th Street. Authorities were called to the scene, and it was quickly determined that Swepson had sustained a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
