On December 19, 2024, 26-year-old East Orange resident Prevor Swaby was fatally shot in Newark, New Jersey. Authorities discovered Swaby with gunshot wounds around 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Alexander Street. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
