In the South Ward of Newark, New Jersey, a life was tragically cut short on a Saturday afternoon. Dax M. Rowland, a 28-year-old male, was shot multiple times on March 16, 2019, in the 300 block of Renner Avenue, near the intersection with Goodwin Avenue. The shooting occurred at approximately 4:04 p.m. Emergency services rushed him to University Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m.
