In the early morning hours of March 29, 2015, the life of 26-year-old Tarad Tolliver was cut short on a street in Newark, New Jersey. A Black male, Tolliver was discovered with apparent gunshot wounds in the 100 block of Halsted Street shortly before 3:00 a.m. Police officers had responded to the area following reports of gunfire.
