In the early evening of October 18, 2023, the life of 41-year-old Rahim E. Wynn, a Black male from Newark, New Jersey, was cut short by gunfire. At approximately 7:27 p.m., Newark police were dispatched to the 100 block of Dayton Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Wynn suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical services promptly transported Wynn to University Hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead ...
