On March 5, 2023, Carlos Cordova, 28, and Carlos Castro-Murillo, 22, were fatally shot in the 260 block of Dale Drive in Portsmouth, Virginia. Police responded to the scene around 7:42 a.m., discovering Castro-Murillo deceased and Cordova critically injured; Cordova succumbed to his injuries the following day.
