On a tragic Monday in Portsmouth, Virginia, the life of 31-year-old Kemanni McGallister was cut short in a fatal shooting that stemmed from a domestic dispute. The incident, which occurred on January 5, 2026, concluded with McGallister succumbing to his injuries at a local hospital.
That evening, the Portsmouth Police Department was alerted to a walk-in gunshot victim at a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, McGallister could not be saved.
