On April 7, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 21-year-old Amonté Desour Walkup was fatally shot in the parking lot of Parlay's II, a bar located in the 5200 block of Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. Responding officers found Walkup suffering from a gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
