On November 18, 2014, two-year-old Kiaja Smalls was tragically killed while sleeping on a couch inside her home at the Hampstead Oaks Apartments in Savannah, Georgia. In a horrifying act of violence, gunmen fired 18 bullets into the residence from outside, one of which struck and killed Kiaja. The shooters were never apprehended, and despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved.
