Amber Welch, a 30-year-old woman from Savannah, GA, was found dead on December 23, 2016, inside a home on Grove Point Road. The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call and discovered her body with an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Amber Welch, who was in a relationship with Edward Jerome Greene, Jr., a 34-year-old man, was the victim of a murder-suicide.
