On October 22, 2013, 24-year-old Jessica Nowell was found fatally shot in her Savannah, Georgia apartment in what police later confirmed was a murder-suicide. Nowell, a graduate of Savannah State University and a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, was shot by her former roommate and ex-boyfriend, Justin Baldwin.
