In the quiet neighborhood of Cuyler-Brownsville in Savannah, Georgia, the life of Amistica Ganean Grell, a 35-year-old African-American woman, was tragically cut short on the evening of Sunday, March 24, 2013. Known affectionately as 'Misty,' she was sitting on the front porch of her home in the 600 block of West 40th Street when gunfire erupted around 10:30 p.m. When police responded to the reports of gunshots, they discovered her body on the porch.
