On October 19, 2016, Alejandro Morales, a 39-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. The incident occurred in the evening hours, and Morales was pronounced dead at the scene. He was known in his community as a dedicated community activist and mentor, remembered for his efforts to uplift and support local youth.
