LaTanya "Taye" Williams, a 17-year-old African American female, tragically lost her life on June 10, 2020, in Savannah, Georgia. She was a rising junior at Beach High School, known for her kind spirit and love of music. On that fateful evening, LaTanya was at a house on Staley Avenue with her 27-year-old cousin Akeem and two male acquaintances, ages 30 and 38. As ten bullets were fired into the house, one struck and injured Akeem, while another fatally hit LaTanya.
