In the winter of 2015, the life of 34-year-old Brandy Tarease Council, an African-American woman known affectionately as 'Cappuccino,' was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. On the evening of December 2nd, she was on West 33rd Street when gunfire erupted. Council was struck and fatally wounded, while three men who were also shot during the incident sustained non-life-threatening injuries and survived.
A native of Miami, Florida, Council had made Savannah her home for eight years.
She was a mother to three children, a daughter and two sons. In the years following her death, her family, including her sister, has continued to publicly plea for justice. They remember her as a special and important part of their family and have been joined by the Savannah Police Department in asking for anyone with information to come forward.
Despite the ongoing investigation and public appeals for information, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
