Mercedes Contreras, an 18-year-old Hispanic female, tragically lost her life on July 7, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Shellbark Way, where she was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Memorial Medical Center for treatment, Mercedes succumbed to her injuries later that day.
