In the late evening hours of August 16, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Thomas Lee Henson, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a parking lot on Heritage Way in Newport News, Virginia. Police responded to reports of gunshots at approximately 10:33 p.m. and discovered Henson suffering from a gunshot wound.
