In the late summer of 2023, a young Black/African American man's life was cut tragically short on a Virginia interstate. MyKel Savion 'Kel' Boyd, a 24-year-old resident of Hampton, was the victim of a fatal shooting on August 16, 2023, while on Interstate 664 in Newport News.
