In the quiet, early morning hours of August 20, 2023, the community of Palmyra, Virginia, was disturbed by an act of violence that claimed the life of 43-year-old Johnnie Antoine Brown. A Black male, Mr. Brown was fatally shot in a residence on Ridge Road. The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about the shooting and, upon arrival, discovered Mr. Brown with multiple gunshot wounds.
