In the late hours of a November evening, the quiet of a Chesterfield County neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On November 10, 2023, police were called to the 2500 block of Alfalfa Lane, where they found 33-year-old Donavan James Fritz II suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, clinging to life for eight days before he succumbed to his injuries on November 18, 2023.
