On December 13, 2023, 50-year-old Kamarr B. Hall Sr. was fatally shot during an armed robbery at the Dollar General store located on Richmond Highway in Richmond, Virginia. Hall, who was working as a clerk at the store, was confronted by an assailant demanding money. Despite Hall's attempts to comply, the situation escalated, and he was shot by the perpetrator.
