In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Donte' LaMar Johnson Sr., a 39-year-old man, was tragically cut short. On March 20, 2025, at approximately 2:05 a.m., police officers were dispatched to an apartment located in the 400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard following a report of a person being shot.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Johnson inside one of the apartments, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is being investigated as a homicide by Major Crimes detectives with the Richmond Police Department.
As of now, the investigation into Donte' Johnson's death is ongoing, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
