In the early morning hours of a Sunday in November 2014, the life of Randy Smith Jr., a 38-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on a street on Richmond's Southside. On November 23rd, police were called to the 3200 block of Decatur Street after reports of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered two men on the ground. Randy Smith Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
