On February 18, 2024, 76-year-old Jackie Hinman was found deceased in her South Hill, Virginia home, the victim of an apparent shooting. Her husband, Douglas Hinman, was discovered at the scene with life-threatening injuries, suggesting a possible murder-attempted suicide scenario.
