On March 5, 1998, the lifeless body of 34-year-old Linette Hillig was discovered behind a bingo parlor in Norfolk, Virginia. Hillig, a woman with a history of prostitution arrests, appeared to have been sexually assaulted before her death. The USS Nimitz, an aircraft carrier, had docked in its homeport of Newport News, approximately 12 miles away, just four days prior to the discovery. This proximity raised suspicions about potential connections between the ship's crew and the crime.
