In the summer of 2014, a tragic event unfolded in Norfolk, Virginia, ending the life of 8-year-old Katharine Renai Mihok. On July 23, 2014, young Katharine died from a gunshot wound in a heart-wrenching murder-suicide. An investigation revealed that her mother, Karla M. Mihok, was the perpetrator, taking her daughter's life before ending her own. Due to the suspect being deceased, the case was closed.
