On a summer afternoon in Norfolk, Virginia, the life of a young Black woman visiting from out of state was tragically cut short. Erica J Wright, a 22-year-old female from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was shot on July 10, 2025. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. in the 900 block of Bagnall Road. After being shot, Wright was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
