Emily Atkinson Quarles, a 15-year-old from Appomattox, Virginia, tragically lost her life on January 19, 2010, in a horrific incident that also claimed the lives of her parents, Karen Elizabeth Canard Quarles and Jonathan Lee Quarles, along with her boyfriend, Ronnie "Bo" Scruggs. The family was caught in a deadly rampage by Christopher Speight, a 39-year-old man who was later arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder.
