Kazuko Rafferty, aged 83, was found dead on November 12, 2017, in her home in Otay Mesa, San Diego, California. The tragic incident was discovered when concerned neighbors, who had not seen or heard from the couple, called the police for a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers forced entry into the residence and found the bodies of Kazuko and her husband, James Rafferty, aged 82. Both had sustained gunshot wounds.
