On a Monday night in Portsmouth, Virginia, the life of 19-year-old Aveyon Jordan, a beloved male student and athlete, was tragically cut short. On March 11, 2024, police responded to a call of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Haywood Drive. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered Jordan suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
