In the afternoon hours of March 12, 2024, the Seaboard Square Apartments in Portsmouth, Virginia, became the scene of a violent incident that claimed the lives of two young individuals. Twenty-year-old Khatori Harper, a Black male also known as 'Tori,' and a 14-year-old boy were found with gunshot wounds shortly after 3 p.m. near Turnpike Road. Despite efforts to save them, both Harper and the teenager succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing the
sound of gunshots, which shattered the afternoon's quiet. Upon discovering the two victims, there was a brief period where they were reportedly still alive, but life tragically drained from them before further help could arrive.
