In the winter of 2022, the life of 26-year-old Shakereia Lanae Hines, a mother of three, was tragically cut short in Portsmouth, Virginia. On the afternoon of January 14th, at approximately 1:34 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Hines suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

Following the incident, the Portsmouth Police Department released surveillance images of a person of interest. The individual was described as an adult ...
