In the early afternoon of March 12, 2024, the promise of a spring day in Norfolk, Virginia, was shattered by an act of violence. Kerry L. White, a 36-year-old male, found his life cut tragically short in the 500 block of Walker Avenue. First responders were called to the scene around 12:43 p.m. following reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, they discovered White with a life-threatening injury.
