In the early hours of April 20, 2024, the life of 31-year-old Eric Pernell Jones Jr. was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on Lancer Drive in Portsmouth, Virginia. Jones, a male resident of the city, was discovered by police responding to reports of suspicious activity around 1:30 a.m. He was not alone.
