On May 16, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Richmond Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Overlook Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Spen’Shawn Battle lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
