On the evening of May 26, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Chesterfield County Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1900 block of Periwinkle Drive in Chesterfield, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult victims with gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 46-year-old Brian L. Cosby, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, an adult female, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she remained in stable condition.
