On August 28, 2024, 22-year-old Diego Alexander Woollett was tragically shot and killed in Sterling, Virginia. Born in Colombia, Diego immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 and was adopted by his mother, Ruth Woollett. He graduated from Washington-Liberty High School in 2022 and was employed as a driver for Amazon, where he met his girlfriend, 22-year-old Mijal Conejero-Romera.
