In the early afternoon of a Tuesday in Norfolk, Virginia, the life of 18-year-old Jamel M. Jones, a male resident of the city, was tragically cut short. On September 3, 2024, around 12:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Kimball Terrace following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Jones suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
