On October 2, 2024, just before 10 p.m., a tragic incident occurred in the 200 block of Fagan Street in Danville, Virginia. Azra Jermann Keene, a 33-year-old resident of Danville, was found lying in a driveway suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call for a well-being check. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, Keene was transported to a medical facility where he later succumbed to his injuries.
