On a Sunday evening in Portsmouth, Virginia, 44-year-old Danyelle Akoya Lee was shot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries on October 20, 2024. The incident, which left two other men injured, unfolded in the 2300 block of Jefferson Street around 5:30 p.m. While one victim was found at the scene by responding officers, Lee and another wounded individual were transported to a local hospital by private means.
