On February 12, 2023, 27-year-old Kakisha Latifa Favor was fatally shot near 1902 Reynolds Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina. Officers from the North Charleston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting just before noon. Upon arrival, they found Favor being attended to by bystanders, including a self-identified doctor. She was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina but succumbed to her injuries en route, with her death pronounced at 11:26 a.m.
