On July 17, 2023, at approximately 1:06 a.m., 20-year-old Jatavious K. Harris was fatally shot inside his residence on the 800 block of Old 96 Indian Trail in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. According to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, initial investigations indicated that the shots were fired from the roadway into the home.
