He was a dedicated father of six and a local entrepreneur who founded Big Business Events, a company responsible for hosting boxing matches, sponsoring basketball teams, and organizing youth empowerment initiatives.
His work was deeply rooted in a desire to bring positive change to the area, often advocating for anti-violence awareness and striving to create a safer environment for local youth. Friends and family described him as family-oriented and an inspiration to many, with a passion for the San Francisco 49ers and the USC Gamecocks.
His life was tragically cut short in the early morning hours of December 4, 2023. The incident occurred just after 3:00 a.m. on Boiling Springs Road near California Avenue in Spartanburg. Residents in the vicinity reported hearing a barrage of gunfire, a chaotic scene that was partially captured on surveillance video. Following the shooting, the vehicle Beasley was driving crashed into a nearby home. When emergency responders and law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Beasley inside the vehicle, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office immediately launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.
