In the quiet early morning hours of June 1, 2023, a domestic disturbance call shattered the peace of the Crossgates neighborhood in Brandon, Mississippi, setting in motion a chain of events that would end in tragedy. The life of 65-year-old Horren Randy Tyler, a dedicated male law enforcement officer, was cut short during a tense and prolonged standoff.
