On April 23, 2024, Bryson Cortez Horne Wash, a 20-year-old from Brandon, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed. This incident occurred just over a month after the death of his younger brother, 14-year-old Cameron Horne-Crook, who was also a victim of gun violence. The mother of both boys, Violet Horne, made an urgent 911 call reporting that Bryson had been shot inside their home.
