On January 30, 2024, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Brandon Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire near Mary Myles Drive and Mary Crain Circle in Brandon, Mississippi. Upon arrival, they discovered two 18-year-old males, identified as Montrell Briggs from Florence and Ja'Marques Patterson from Pearl, both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
