In the early morning hours of January 30, 2024, the community of Brandon, Mississippi, was disturbed by the sound of multiple gunshots. Responding to the calls, Brandon Police Department officers arrived at the area near Mary Myles Drive and Mary Crain Circle around 1:50 a.m. to uncover a tragic scene. Two 18-year-old males, JaMarques Patterson and Montrell Briggs, were found deceased, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
