In the quiet setting of Rankin County, Mississippi, the life of Constable Jerry L. McCrory, a dedicated 35-year-old male law enforcement officer, was tragically cut short on a December day. On December 15, 1980, Constable McCrory was carrying out his duties, attempting to serve a warrant for disturbing the peace to a 70-year-old man at his residence.
