Death by Force

On August 23, 2023, Jarion Trentel Griffin, a 26-year-old resident of Columbus, Mississippi, was found dead from a gunshot wound inside an apartment located at 202 11th Avenue South. Police responded to a disturbance call at approximately 12:20 AM, where they discovered Griffin's body. The incident was reported to have involved gunfire, as dispatchers noted hearing shots during the emergency call. Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lowndes County Coroner.
